One call = one HTTP request to the Meibel proxy endpoint, regardless of how many model API calls that produces downstream. Retries, streaming, and tool-use sub-calls each count individually.
Yes. You can configure a hard rate limit on any tenant context. When the limit is hit, calls return a 429 response instead of being processed. This prevents unexpected overage billing without any manual intervention.
The Developer plan is free indefinitely — no trial period, no forced conversion. We want teams evaluating Meibel to have time to properly integrate and test before deciding. The 10K call limit is the only constraint.
Audit log records contain entity type labels and hashes, not raw PHI values. Records are encrypted at rest (AES-256) with keys managed separately. Team plan customers can request a HIPAA overview document. On-prem deployment is available for Enterprise customers who cannot use cloud storage for audit records.
